Lang Lang in concert

Charisma and flamboyant technique.
A genuine international star in the world of classical music, the Chinese pianist Lang Lang displays dazzling virtuosity. The first Chinese pianist to have been invited to perform by the major American orchestras, as well as the philharmonic orchestras of Vienna and Berlin, the piano prodigy supplies surprise and fascination at each of his concerts.
Having started to play piano at the age of three, he won the Shenyang competition two years later and gave his first public recital. Subsequently, he studied at the conservatory in Beijing and performed in a concert at Carnegie Hall in New York at the age of nine, during which he interpreted Chopin's 24 Etudes.
An international career followed, leading him to work with the top ensembles and to play in the most prestigious concert halls. He quickly won over the public with his charisma and flamboyant technique.
