Casting the Divine. Sculptures of the Nyingjei Lam Collection
This event has now finished

Bronze sculptures.
A group of 104 sculptures on loan to the Rubin Museum of Art in New York will be exhibited for the first time in the United States.
A selection of works has previously been exhibited at the Ashmolean Museum in Oxford, UK, in 1999.
The bronze sculptures comprise rare and important Indian and Nepalese sculptures produced between the seventh and twelfth century. They exemplify neighbouring regional traditions that influenced the early art of Tibet, and many remarkable images of Tibet dating from between the tenth and seventeenth century.
