Cathedral of Saint-John the Divine, New York, visit
A very eclectic cathedral.
When you visit the Saint John the Divine cathedral, be prepared for a few surprises. You will be immediately impressed by the building: the nave, lit by the largest rose window in the United States, is as big as two football grounds.
Building started in 1892, on the eclectic plans by George Heins and Christopher Grant, which mixed Romanesque, Byzantine and a Gothic inspired exterior, and is still not finished.
Concerts, shows and lectures are organised in the Cathedral and its gardens; heritage and culture go hand in hand here!
When you visit, you will be able to discover the Fountain of Peace, the garden inspired by the Bible...
Animals and bicycles are blessed here during annual ceremonies.
