Schiaparelli and Prada: impossible conversations, exhibition
This event has now finished
Two iconic Italian designers.
This summer, the Metropolitan Museum in New York presents an exhibition on Schiaparelli and Prada. The exhibition explores the striking similarities between Elsa Schiaparelli and Miuccia Prada, two Italian designers from different periods.
Inspired by Miguel Covarrubias, it features imaginary conversations between these iconic women.
The exhibition features about 90 drawings and thirty accessories by Schiaparelli (1890-1973) created between the 1920s and early 1950s and pieces by Prada from the 1980s to the present day.
