Swept Away: Dust, Ashes, and Dirt in Contemporary Art and Design, exhibition
This event has now finished
Ephemeral nature of art and life.
From February, the Museum of Arts and Design in New York presents an exhibition of artists who have used dust, ashes or dirt as materials in their contemporary art works.
The conception of these works encourages questions about the ephemeral nature of art and life, or on litter and man's existence. The exhibition includes life size sculptures made from ash by Chinese artist Zhang Huan.
