One street: the centre of the global financial markets.
Originally a street within the central business district of Manhattan, Wall Street has since come to signify the world's largest stock exchange, the New York Stock Exchange or NYSE.
This institution is located at number 11 Wall Street, but the headquarters are to be found at 18 Broad Street.
The world's most important financial centre, Wall Street is more generally a business district which is home to some of the largest companies in the world. Its influence in the global economy is critical and today Wall Street remains one of the most important business districts in the world.
