Rufus Wainwright: Prima Donna, opera
This event has now finished

Melancholy and playful compositions from this rising star.
The music industry was speechless when the talented young singer-songwriter Rufus Wainwright burst onto the scene.
His warm drawling voice and baroque pop compositions which are by turn melancholy and playful, attract an ever growing audience. His openness about his homosexuality has made of him a new gay icon.
After his two albums entitled Want I and Want II which received rave reviews from the critics, and Release the stars, and Rufus Does Judy at the Carnegie Hall in 2007, the singer continues his rise to stardom, with a live album released in 2009: Milwaukee at last.
Wainwright has written his first opera, entitled Prima Donna, which is to be performed in 2012.
