Turandot, opera
This event has now finished

An operatic masterpiece.
Witnessing in Beijing, in the presence of Princess Turandot, the execution of the last suitor who attempted to answer the riddles she set him, a man (in reality the Prince Khalaf) falls in love with the Princess.
He decides to submit to the test and wins, much to Turandot's fury, who refuses to marry a stranger. He makes a deal with her that if before dawn she discovers his identity than he will accept his own execution. The princess does all that she can to find out who the stranger is and causes the death of the Khalaf's slave Liù, who refuses to give up the identity of his master.
At dawn, the stranger himself reveals that he is the Prince Khalaf. He impulsively kisses the Princess, who at last feels a human emotion: love!
